After a passenger on PIA flight PK-783 to Toronto had signs of cardiac arrest in mid-flight, the plane was diverted for medical reasons.
According to local media reports, a traveller named Syed Waseh was on his way to Canada from the country’s largest city when he complained of chest pain.
The plane then landed at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi, where he was met by ambulances from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and a medical team.
Meanwhile, the national flag carrier was doubtful about the heart attack since medics had found no evidence of cardiac arrest. All of the 33-year-reports old’s and scans were allegedly normal.
According to sources, the passenger was banned by PIA, which suffered damages of Rs12.5 million as the airline had to de-fuel and land with just 100 kg of fuel in the tank.
