On Wednesday, a big Baleen Whale was discovered dead off the shore of Manora Island in Karachi, attracting a large throng who flocked to see the marine behemoth.
The fishermen were fishing in the water near Manora Island like they did every day when they discovered a 28-foot-long and 8-foot-wide dead whale washed ashore, according to reports.
The fishermen, on the other hand, did not notify the Karachi Port Trust (KPT) or the Sindh Livestock and Fisheries Department about the occurrence. They moved the dead whale from Manora Island’s coast to Karachi Fish Harbor without the involvement of the authorities.
Fishermen accidently grabbed a 200-kg shark while fishing in the water near Kund Malir beach near Karachi earlier this month.
According to one of the fisherman, this is the largest shark species seen in the open water along Pakistan’s coast, and it has been spotted on several times.
