Before Ramadan, the Utility Stores Corporation (USC) raised the price of cooking oil and ghee. Ghee and cooking oil costs have risen by up to Rs. 15 per kilogramme and Rs. 15 per litre, respectively. The price increase at utility outlets would take effect immediately, according to the notice.
It’s worth noting that over the previous month, the costs of ghee and cooking oil from various brands were also raised. Cooking oil costs have gone up by Rs. 75 per litre, while ghee prices have gone up by Rs. 66 per kilogramme. During the preceding month, the prices of other items were also raised.
