FIFA has decided to lift the ban on the Pakistan Football Federation in order to allow the Normalization Committee to reclaim control of its headquarters, according to official sources.
FIFA placed Pakistan on the blacklist around a year ago. The suspension was imposed, however, after unauthorised people took possession of Football House in Lahore.
In addition, the government and the PFF had been collaborating to bring the game back to Pakistan. Following the transfer of control of the Football Headquarters to the Normalization Committee, FIFA has announced that the ban on PFF will be lifted in the coming days.
FIFA had previously stated that the ban on Pakistani sports activities would not be lifted until FIFA’s Normalization Committee took control of the situation.
