This year’s Pakistan Day celebration will draw a worldwide audience thanks to a variety of additional attractions, including a flyover by the recently purchased J-10C fighter jets.
Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar, the Chief of Air Staff, will conduct the flyover in an F-16 fighter jet. After that, a squadron of 4.5-generation J-10C aircraft will fly through, followed by formations of JF-17s, F-16s, and Mirage fighter jets doing aerobatics.
On Wednesday, the rehearsals in this respect began. The second rehearsal will take place on March 18 at Shakarparian Parade Ground, followed by a full dress rehearsal on March 20.
Similarly, preparations for the Armed Forces’ joint parade have been finished. The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has issued an awareness message urging people not to litter or put household rubbish in the open, since this attracts scavengers to the Parade Ground area, posing a hazard to flying aircraft.
Every year on March 23, Pakistan commemorates Pakistan Day. ‘Shad Rahey Pakistan’ (May Pakistan remain joyful) and ‘Markaz e Yaqeen Shad Baad’ are the themes for the 82nd Pakistan Day (May the citadel of faith remain secure forever).
