On Tuesday, the military’s media wing, ISPR, announced that a joint military training exercise between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia has concluded in Pakistan’s Punjab province’s Bahawalpur area.
According to the ISPR, “joint training exercises between the Royal Saudi Land Soldiers (RSLF) and Pakistani forces came to an end in Khairpur Tamewali (KPT) [Bahawalpur].”
Earlier this month, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia launched a two-week joint military exercise focused on counter-terrorism operations at the National Counter-Terrorist Center.
In September of last year, the Saudi and Pakistani military conducted the combined Naseem Al-Bahr 13 naval exercise, with Saudi F-15 fighter jets participating in a missile fire simulation for the first time.
In a meeting with Pakistani counterpart Sheikh Rashid Ahmed in February, Saudi Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif committed to expand cooperation in the face of security concerns.
