Punjab University (PU) and People’s Friendship University Moscow, one of Russia’s most prestigious and largest universities, have agreed to grant scholarships to Punjab University’s bright students.
The accord is significant in light of Pakistan’s and Russia’s expanding bilateral relationship. The Vice-office Chancellor’s hosted the signing ceremony. The University of Russia will grant scholarships to Punjab University’s promising students under the terms of the agreement. Dr. Efremova Larissa emphasised in her speech that she wants to launch summer school programmers for PU students in Russia. She expressed the expectation that both universities will soon begin teacher and student exchange programmes. She stated that she was working to establish connections with colleges in Pakistan, Iran, and Turkey. Prof. Niaz Ahmed believes that the deal with the Russian university will improve bilateral relations.
A two-day Flower Show was held at the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences’ Prof Dr Akram Educational Complex Ravi Campus in Pattoki, a city known for its plant nurseries and flowers.
The show featured a vast number of seasonal flower species, indoor plants, and vases. Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad, UVAS Vice-Chancellor, and top faculty members attended the occasion and praised Principal Officer Ravi Campus Dr Arshad Javid and Horticulturist Muhammad Saeed Ahmed for successfully organising the display. In the meantime, on this occasion, a farmer training session on the theme “Innovative Floriculture Production Techniques” was held. This training programmer was part of a Punjab government-funded project to develop “Model Farms in Pakistan.”
