LAHORE: On July 15, a 26-year experienced Australian pitching veteran will travel to Pakistan to assess the country’s outfields and pitches in addition to advising Pakistani curators on pitching techniques.
Damien Hough, the head curator of Adelaide Oval, will arrive in Lahore tomorrow as part of a two-week tour of the nation that will also take him to Karachi, Rawalpindi, and Multan, according to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
During his tour to local stadiums, an Australian expert will evaluate outfields and pitch squares as well.
Before leaving on July 28, Hough will provide lectures to the local curators, coaches, and city cricket organizations about the basics of pitch preparation for all three game formats.
The Australian specialist will also impart his knowledge on the implementation of day/night pitches for Test cricket to local pitch curators.
