The operator of BRT Peshawar, TransPeshawar, has received the “Best Smart Ticketing Program” award from Transport Ticketing Global for 2022. TransPeshawar’s efforts to enhance the lives of numerous people through creative solutions are honored by this award.
On June 28, 2022, in London, the 10th annual award winners were revealed. Any public transportation authority and their technology partner that have successfully implemented a smart ticketing program during the past two years are recognized with the Best Ticketing Program award.
The network to which the program is applied must accommodate 200,000 or more daily trips. The prize takes into account the project’s user uptake, length, sustainability, and any additional elements that set it apart.
JakLingko, Thales, and Jatelindo Perkasa Abadi (Indonesia), MetroRio (Brazil), The South Australian Public Transport Authority (SAPTA) (Australia), Cubic Transportation System and MTA (New York), Opal Digital Card and Contactless Transport Payments (New South Wales), and Innoforce were among the other finalists. TransPeshawar was the winner (Kazakhstan).
The Transport Ticketing Awards are an outstanding way to acknowledge the incredible work being done globally to keep people safe and moving. The prizes are granted to people who have excelled and innovated in the fields of smart ticketing and transportation.
At the Annual Transport Ticketing Global Summit 2022 in London, a representative from LMKR, TransPeshawar’s technology partner for smart ticketing systems and services for the Peshawar BRT system, received the honor on the organization’s behalf.
