For his outstanding efforts in fostering closer connections between the UAE and Pakistan, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa received the Order of the Union Medal, the highest honor bestowed by the United Arab Emirates.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations, the army chief traveled to the United Arab Emirates for business and met with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed (ISPR).
Topics of common interest, bilateral defense and security cooperation, and the situation of regional security were discussed at the conference.
According to the ISPR, “both persons concurred that Pakistan and the UAE share a rich history of the cordial and deeply ingrained sense of fraternity, which is evolving into an enduring partnership.”
