After putting out a request for help, Pakistan’s first female mixed martial artist (MMA) competitor Anita Karim has obtained sponsors for her knee surgery.
The Hunza-born MMA fighter recently wowed the crowd by defeating Australian opponent Uyen Ha at the Fairtex Fight Promotion in Bangkok.
Anita, 25, took to Twitter to express her gratitude for the enormous reaction to her need for sponsorship, as well as to announce that she would soon reveal the details of her treatment and expenses.
“I appreciate everyone’s good wishes, prayers, and notes. This weekend, we’ll learn more about the procedure and how much it will cost. We’ll share the information with everyone that contacted us as we obtain it! “Thank you all,” she said in a tweet from her official account.
Anita had previously posted a tweet seeking for sponsors to assist her with her knee surgery.
She tweeted, “Call for sponsors to aid with my knee surgery!”
Following her victory over Indonesia’s Gita Suharsono in the One Warrior Series (OWS) in 2019, Anita’s prominence skyrocketed. The MMA fighter, who is 25 years old, is also known as ‘Arm Collector.’
