The Green Line bus service has extended its working hours by two hours to help customers prepare for Eid-ul-Fitr. The department made this choice to reduce overcrowding during rush hour.
During Ramadan, 80 buses ran between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m., with 40 buses travelling from Numaish to Abdullah Chowk in Surjani Town and 40 buses travelling in the opposite direction.
The following are the new bus schedules:
From Abdullah Chowk to Numaish, from 7 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
From Numaish to Abdullah Chowk, from 7 a.m. until 12:30 a.m. (midnight).
“We decided to extend the bus operations timings by another couple of hours keeping in mind that there are several shopping centers and malls along the Green Line route where passengers would like to stop for their Eid shopping after iftar and even after the Taraveeh prayers,” Abdul Aziz, a senior manager of the Sindh Infrastructure Development Company’s Bus Operation and Intelligence Transport System, said in a press conference.
