Harbhajan Singh, a former Indian spinner, remained silent before of Pakistan’s meeting with arch-rival India in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia.
Pakistan and India will face off in another T20 World Cup on October 23 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, the second time the two strong rivals will clash in less than a year after Pakistan thrashed India in Dubai in the T20 World Cup 2021 by a 10-wicket margin.
The former off-spinner swore not to say anything before the high-octane showdown in October after India’s humiliating loss and regretted his words in last year’s World Cup.
“We have another T20 World Cup,” Harbhajan stated, alongside former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar, to an Indian sports website. “This year, I won’t be making any statements and won’t comment about who would win [between Pakistan and India].”

“Mauka Mauka or whatever,” he added, “we’ll see what happens because things went poorly the last time around because of this.”
The 41-year-old had made a bold declaration ahead of Pakistan’s 2021 World Cup match against India.
“I advised Shoaib Akhtar that it was pointless for Pakistan to participate; instead, you should give us a pass. You’ll play, you’ll lose, and you’ll be disappointed. Our team is highly strong and capable, and they will easily defeat you.” Harbhajan
