Murtaza Javed Abbasi, the Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, stated on Tuesday that the Karakoram Highway (KKH) between Haripur and Abbottabad will be rehabilitated with a Rs 300 million grant.
During his visit to Havelian and Ayub Bridge, the Federal Minister made the announcement to the media.
According to Murtaza Javed Abbassi, the KKH and GT roads have also been severely damaged.
He claimed that our government has allocated Rs. 30 crores to the National Highway Authority (NHA), which will carry out repairs from Haripur to Abbottabad.
The federal minister encouraged NHA officials to expedite the rehabilitation of the Ayub Bridge.
The diversion of traffic from Ayub Bridge to a small bridge in Langara, which is also a hazard to heavy traffic, has had a tremendous impact on the population of Havelian, notably Union Council Langara, according to Murtaza Javed Abbasi.
“We addressed the issue of Ayub Bridge,” the federal minister said, despite being in opposition for the previous year. “Now Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has asked the chairman NHA to reconstruct the bridge immediately.”
