In an attempt to set a record for the youngest person to fly solo around the globe, Mack Rutherford, a Belgian-British teen pilot, landed his aircraft in Karachi, the capital of Pakistan, on Saturday.
Mack Rutherford set out on his trek in March, beginning close to Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, with the goal of breaking a Guinness World Record held by his fellow countryman Travis Ludlow.
The young pilot’s small aircraft had originally intended to land in the South Asian nation last week, but he had to postpone his trip because of terrible weather. After a brief stay in Pakistan, Mack Rutherford intended to travel to Ahmedabad in India.
The renowned pilot claimed in an interview with a foreign media that after landing in Pakistan, he will now be able to continue his voyage.
