Muhammad Hasnain, a youthful fast bowler who is 22 years old, will take Shaheen Shah’s place in the national team for the Asia Cup 2022.
Shaheen previously withdrew from the competition after the medical staff advised a four to six-week layoff for a knee ailment he sustained during the Test series against Sri Lanka.
The event is slated to start on August 27 and end the following month on September 11.
Mohammad Hasnain has so far claimed 17 wickets in 18 T20 international matches for Pakistan. The young player will go to Dubai to join the national T20 team while still competing in The Hundred.
On the other hand, Asif Ali, Haider, Iftikhar, and Usman Qadir will leave Pakistan on Tuesday morning and join the group in Dubai. The 16-person roster for the Netherlands tour will no longer include Abdullah Shafiq, Imam-ul-Haq, Mohammad Haris, Salman Ali Agha, and Zahid Mehmood. Instead, they will replace those players.
India and Pakistan will square off on August 28 in the competition’s opening encounter. Following the contest versus the qualifier team, the Super Four phase will begin on September 3.
