The National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) has unlocked yet another milestone achievement by ranking among the top 200 international institutions in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2022, guided by a vision linked with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
According to data, the university not only maintained its overall top ranking among Pakistani universities, but also topped the country in eight SDGs. Clean Water and Sanitation (SDG-6), Affordable and Clean Energy (SDG-7), Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure (SDG-9), Sustainable Cities & Communities (SDG-11), Responsible Consumption & Production (12), Life Below Water (SDG-14), Life on Land (SDG-15), and Partnership for the Goals (SDG-16) are among them (SDG-17). It’s worth noting that NUST has climbed 63 places in SDG-7 to become the world’s No. 4 university.
The next year, NUST made a huge jump forward by appearing in THE Impact Rankings 2020 for all 17 SDGs, ranking among the world’s top 100, top 200, and top 300 universities in several SDG categories, and rising up the overall ranking ladder from 300+ global institutions in 2019 to 200+ in 2020.
The university’s steadfast dedication to quality standards is one of the driving forces for the achievement of this honor.
