In its report, the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA) has published monthly car sales for March 2022. According to the data, the country’s automotive industry sold 27,131 cars in March, up from 21,664 cars in February, suggesting a 25% increase month over month.
Furthermore, Toyota Indus increased its sales by 53 percent month over month to 7,068 units in March. Similarly, Honda Atlas sales increased by 33% from 2,747 units in February to 3,651 units in March, indicating a strong increase of 33%.
Pakistan Suzuki Motors has also achieved significant progress, increasing sales by 18% from 12,668 in February to 15,011 in March. Hyundai Nishat, on the other hand, had a progressive drop in sales from 1,469 units in February to 1,307 units in March, a drop of 11% month over month.

Furthermore, several models were highly regarded in the market, resulting in a high level of sales. Pak Suzuki’s best-selling model in March was the Alto, which shattered the company’s sales records with 9,814 units sold. Similarly, the company sold 306 Suzuki Cultus cars, 2,104 Suzuki Wagon R cars, 1,295 Suzuki Bolan cars, and 1,492 Suzuki Ravi cars.
In addition, Toyota Indus had the most Corolla and Yaris sales, with 5,395 vehicles sold. The Fortuner and Hilux are likely to have sold 1,673 units as well. Furthermore, the Civic and City were well received in the market, with Honda Atlas selling 3,278 units. The number of BR-Vs sold increased to 373.

Elantra sales were 357 units, Sonata sales were 250 units, Porter sales were 123 units, and Tucson sales were 576 units.
Suzuki Alto sales jumped by 37% last month, with 9,814 units sold compared to 7,7175 in February 2022. Similarly, the Suzuki Wagon R saw a 28 percent increase in sales in March, with 2,104 units sold, and the Suzuki Bolan saw a 21 percent increase in sales, with 1,295 units sold. The Suzuki Cultus, on the other hand, saw a substantial dip in sales in March, from 1,692 to 306 units sold, resulting in an 82 percent drop in sales.
Furthermore, Toyota Fortuner & Hilux had the highest sales, increasing by 70% from 984 to 1,673 units sold. Toyota Corolla and Yaris sales also jumped from 3,646 to 5,395. Similarly, Honda Civic and City saw a tremendous 44 percent spike in sales, and Hyundai Elantra saw a modest increase in sales.
