While announcing central contracts to 33 players for the period 2022–2023, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief selector Muhammad Wasim stated that captain Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Afridi have been offered category A in both red and white-ball contracts.
Wasim said that players have been offered contracts based on their physical condition and last year’s results during a news conference held here today to announce the central contract for players.
In addition to Imam-ul-Haq, Hassan Ali, Babar, Rizwan, and Shaheen, who have been offered both contracts, details indicate that 10 players have earned red-ball contracts and 11 players have received white-ball contracts.
Seven excellent domestic players have additionally been given central contracts in the rising group.
