It was revealed during a meeting with the Minister for Defense Production, Muhammad Israr Tareen, that the Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF), the nation’s top defense production company, not only meets the needs of Pakistan’s armed forces in terms of defense but also exports its goods to more than 40 nations.
The minister went to the POF and got an explanation of how it was made. He was told that the POF, a sizable defense production complex, had 14 autonomous production divisions, 12 subsidiaries, and approximately 24,000 workers.
Further information was provided, stating that the POF’s industrial basis is strong enough to support the development and production of almost all types of conventional weapons and ammunition.
The minister visited the Pakistan Ordnance Factories Products Display Lounge and was awed by the high caliber of the goods on display. He commended the POF’s engineers, scientists, and laborers for their service in defending the country.
At the Pakistan Ordnance Factories, Lieutenant General Ali Amir Awan, the chairman of the board, welcomed Israr Tareen and introduced him to the director generals, board members, and critical civil and military authorities.
