ISLAMABAD: Javed Latif, a stalwart of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), has provided a unique explanation for Nawaz Sharif’s return to Pakistan.
Nawaz Sharif, Pakistan’s former prime leader, is now in London after being granted medical release by Pakistani courts. According to Javed Latif, doctors have advised Nawaz Sharif that doctors in Pakistan are now delivering proper treatment and that there is no pandemic. He stated that doctors in Pakistan can heal the PML-N supremo immediately, and that he hopes to return to Pakistan after Eid.
On Tuesday, it was revealed that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had ordered the interior ministry to award former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif a diplomatic passport.
Shehbaz Sharif was briefed by the diplomatic personnel after taking over his office about the issuing of a passport to the PML-N supremo. Ishaq Dar, Pakistan’s former prime minister and finance minister, has been ordered to be issued diplomatic passports by Pakistan’s London mission.
However, the diplomatic staff stated that only Elder Sharif, not Ishaq Dar, is eligible for a diplomatic passport, prompting Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to award Dar a regular Pakistani passport.
