Manchester City came back from two goals behind to level the game and win a point against West Ham on Sunday in London. The draw, on the other hand, made the team wait to win the Premier League.
In the first half, City’s Premier League dominance appeared to be in jeopardy as the Hammers lead 2-0 thanks to Jarrod Bowen’s well-taken double.
However, four minutes after the restart, Jack Grealish scored the visitors’ opening goal, and Vladmir Coufal headed Riyad Mahrez’s free-kick into his own net as City avoided a Premier League defeat.
The team then had a chance to win after Craig Dawson fouled Gabriel Jesus, earning the team a crucial penalty kick, but Mahrez’s failure to take advantage of the opportunity cost them the title.
With one encounter remaining, City are currently four points ahead of Liverpool in second place. By defeating Aston Villa on the final day, the team can clinch the Premier League.
Liverpool, on the other side, has a chance to draw level with City if they win their remaining two games and City loses their match against Aston Villa.
