The government is lowering the price of urea to 1768 rupees per bag, according to Makhdoom Syed Murtaza Mahmud, Minister of Industries and Production.
While chairing a meeting in Islamabad, he stated that the government will not accept unwarranted urea price increases. According to the Minister of Industries, the government has restored gas supply to fertilizer facilities and will continue to offer uninterrupted gas supplies for domestic production.
According to him, the government has decided to pay farmers directly through the Ministry of Food Security and the Provincial Governments.
