On Thursday, Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz Sharif requested that the Speedo bus service be reinstated in the cities of South Punjab.
Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz gave these instructions during a meeting of the Punjab Masstransit Authority in Lahore.
The chief minister directed that the Speedo bus service in Bahawalpur and Lodhran, which was begun by his father Shehbaz Sharif when he was the chief minister of both cities, be resumed during the meeting.
According to Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz, the contemporary Metro Bus Service in Lahore has revolutionised the transportation industry.
It’s worth noting that the Speedo bus service concept is currently running in Lahore and Multan.
To assist inhabitants of Lahore, Faisalabad, and Bahawalpur, the Punjab government announced in November 2021 that it will begin operating ecologically friendly electric buses in those cities.
The decision was reached at a meeting of the Punjab Masstransit Authority in Lahore, which was chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar at the time.
The panel reviewed plans to build a new transit system in several cities, as well as the orange line metro ticket. The panel also talked about bringing double-decker buses to Punjab’s major cities.
