Shan Masood, a Pakistani left-handed batter who is currently playing for Derbyshire in the County Championship 2022, has been nominated for the Professional Cricketers’ Association (PCA) Player of the Month Award.
Shan has been nominated for the PCA Player of the Month Award for April, after scoring 713 runs at an average of 118.83, including two double century, in the ongoing county tournament.
In addition to Shan, Keith Barker of Hampshire, Harry Brook of Yorkshire, and Ben Compton of Kent have all been nominated for the prize for their outstanding efforts.
The Wisden announced the news of Shan’s nomination for the PCA Awards on Twitter.
The Wisden reported, “Shan Masood, who has 713 County Championship runs at an average of 118.83 this season, has been nominated for the PCA’s Player of the Month award.”
The caption continued, “The other nominees are Hampshire’s Keith Barker, Yorkshire’s Harry Brook, and Kent’s Ben Compton.”
