PM Shehbaz Sharif announces a Rs2 billion package for different development projects in KP’s Shangla district’s Bisham region.
On Saturday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif warned the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa that if their chief minister does not lower wheat prices, he will sell his clothes to ensure that the price is reduced.
The premier, speaking to a crowd in Shangla, Swat, said wheat would be sold at the same price as it is currently purchased in Punjab.
“I will request KP CM to reduce the price of wheat. If KP CM does not reduce the price of wheat then I will sell my clothes and reduce the price of wheat,” PM Shehbaz told the crowd.He further stated that he would be grateful if the CM agreed to his request.
The PM told the people of KP that he would make sure there were no complaints about wheat purchases in the province.
“I am Shehbaz Sharif I will not lie to you,”He informed the gathering that his predecessor, who had been prime minister for four years, had “only lied” to the nation during that time.
“If I make a mistake I will make the people my witness and apologise to them,” said the premier.
