According to the International Cricket Council, Wasim Khan has been named ICC General Manager and will commence his duties next month (ICC).
Khan will succeed Geoff Allardice, who held the job for eight years before being named ICC CEO. He previously served as CEO of the Pakistan Cricket Board, Leicestershire County Cricket Club, and Chance to Shine.
“It gives me great pleasure to welcome Wasim to the ICC,” Allardice said. He offers a profound grasp of our sport and its stakeholders, as well as firsthand knowledge of the global cricket scene, which will be crucial as we implement the ICC’s global expansion plan and transition into a new events cycle.”
“I am thrilled to be joining the ICC, and I am looking forward to getting started and working with our Members to improve and grow our sport,” Khan said. I’m concentrating on the ICC’s commitment to the advancement of the women’s game, and I hope to contribute to that success over the next decade.”
